Magnoric at the 10th IIR Thermag 2024: Showcasing Pioneering Innovations in Caloric Cooling

The 10th IIR Conference on Caloric Cooling and Applications of Caloric Materials (Thermag 2024), held in Baotou, China, from August 21-24, 2024, provided a unique platform to highlight cutting-edge developments in caloric materials and advanced cooling technologies. As one of the most prestigious events in the field, it brought together scientists, engineers, and industry leaders from around the world to share the latest research and innovations.

In recent years, caloric cooling has seen a resurgence of interest due to advancements in magneto-, elasto-, baro-, and electro-caloric materials. These developments, combined with novel thermal engineering techniques and innovative cooling engine prototypes, are making caloric cooling a highly efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional vapor compression technologies.

Magnoric was proud to participate in this high-profile conference, with Rémi Dubois, Director of Operations, and Dr. Sergiu Lionte, Research Consultant, representing our company. They were joined by Dr. Gunnar Gödecke, Global Director of Innovation at Vulkan Group, Magnoric’s main shareholder, to present three key publications that reflect our commitment to advancing the field of caloric cooling:

  • High-Power Prototypes: Demonstrating the power and efficiency of next-generation caloric cooling systems.
  • VK2 Prototype Integration: Showcasing the successful application of our advanced VK2 prototype.
  • Waste Heat Recovery: Exploring the potential of caloric technologies to harness waste heat for energy recovery.

Magnoric’s participation at Thermag 2024 not only increased our visibility within the scientific community but also reinforced our position as a forward-thinking, innovative start-up. By contributing to the ongoing development of sustainable cooling technologies, we are shaping the future of energy-efficient refrigeration.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to drive innovation and push the boundaries of caloric cooling technology.
